The cedar top gives this instrument a wonderful warm, mellow tone, typical of the 'tone wood' cedar. Cedar is used widely in instrument manufacture for its supurb strength-to-weight ratio.
The back and sides of this ukulele are constructed from Bubinga. Bubinga is also known as African Rosewood though it is not technically from the Rosewood family. Grown mostly in West Africa, Bubinga is an amazingly wavy-figured exotic wood that is an excellent choice for an instruments such as this as it is attractive, durable and finishes to a rich lustre.Comes with hard case specially made for a perfect fit.
